Illinois Extreme Outfitters

Ask us about our Sub-Leasing program!

IEO keeps a list of hunters looking for that lease of a lifetime. If you are looking for your own lease, let us know how big, how many hunters, and what type of hunting, we will find it.

Besides finding it, we will scout it upon leasing, putting our own stamp of approval on it. After finding your property IEO will manage it with food plots, trail photos, and security.

Our sub-leases are managed specifically for your group and will not be touched by us or any other client during the hunting season. We take these raw leases and turn them into turn key farms, ready to harvest the buck of your dreams.

Our leases are not over priced as many would imagine, but are well within the country average.

Illinois Extreme Outfitters

Illinois Extreme Outfitters is family owned and operated and fully licensed in the state of Illinois.

Our farms in Calhoun county Illinois have been managed strictly for trophy class whitetails and wild turkeys for over 20 years. In these years world class whitetails and turkeys have been taken on these farms.

We do things a little different than a lot of Illinois Outfitters.  We have found that by allowing our hunters the freedom to make their own decisions during their hunt, they feel more a part of their own hunt and a enjoy a high success rate on trophy bucks.  We are available during DIY or semi-guided weeks to help you plan a successful hunt as well.  Our semi-guided or DIY hunts are conducted on some of the most highly managed farms in west central Illinois.  All of our farms are located in northern Calhoun county, just a few miles from famed Pike county.  Some say the deer herd is better in Calhoun than Pike due to less pressure from outfitters or hunters.

On DIY hunts, we provide lodging, detailed maps of all hunting property to be used by you or your group for your week, and field help with your deer.  We have a cold storage facility as well as a processing area for your use to prepare your animal for travel.  We also have a lease program for offroad electric carts should you choose to want to use one during your hunt.

Our professional guides and owners have over 100 years combined experience taking the game you are searching for.  We are a very small outfitter by design. We hunt only a very limited number of hunters each season to keep the pressure down and success rates up.  With the diversity of our farms and close proximity to each other, hunters can choose to move areas should they not be seeing the caliber of deer they came to IL for.

We hunt trophy whitetails and wild turkeys 100% fair chase.

We have no trophy fees.  We do have a 140” B&C gross requirement for harvest on most of our farms.  We also have 150” B&C gross minimum farms.   The minimums are developed from years of studying the deer herd in our areas.  Many 2.5 year old bucks in our area will meet the 140” B&C minimum.

We also employ 30 IR trail cameras year round to monitor deer movements and patterns.

In our 11 years of business we have averaged 146” B&C gross score on our bucks taken.  Each season we take at least two bucks that score over 170” and many in the 155”-160” range.  In 2012 our largest was 185”.  We have moved our minimum up several times since our inception to continue to provide the caliber of whitetails you are in search of.

Our specific hunting weeks are designed by group size and historically more productive weeks. We only take up to four hunters on certain weeks and on certain farms. Each farm and week is designed with the hunter in mind, opportunity and a quality stay is our main focus.  Our farms are set up in close proximity to each other, but far enough away to provide many different deer herds to hunt.  This diversity of property allows our hunters to move around should they not be seeing the quality of animal they came to Illinois for.  Any group of two or more will receive pricing discounts, as well as private lodging and access to certain farms.

Our farms are electric vehicle only during the duration of the entire hunting season. This is a major factor in taking that monster Illinois whitetail you have been dreaming about.
Most of our business is returning hunters and word of mouth which speaks volumes for the quality of the hunting as well as the excellent environment we provide while you are hunting with us. We have a newly remodeled cabin, built in 2009 on our base farm and a newly remodeled house on another nearby farm for our hunters use.  When hunting only 8-10 hunters max per week, the amount of property we control, we can keep the Illinois whitetails guessing.

Illinois Extreme Outfitters uses some of the best equipment available. From our Xcaliber electric carts to our Ameristep, Muddy Outdoors, and Summit deer stands. Everything is top quality and maintained very well.

Should you have a special need, we can accommodate.  We really strive to exceed our hunters’ expectations while they are in camp with us.

Travel arrangements for your Illinois whitetail or turkey hunt can be made during your reservation process. We offer fully guided weeks as well as semi guided weeks of whitetail and turkey hunting. Some would say our semi guided weeks are similar to other outfitters fully guided weeks. We show you all our stand sites and property lines of the farm selected for your party on a map, give a daylight tour of all the farms available to your party during your hunt, tour of the lodging, meet and greet with the owners and or guides, tutorial on all equipment to be used during your hunt, and usually have a sit down meal with the hunters the first night in.

Fully guided all inclusive hunts are available.  These hunts include full guiding services, lodging, meals, transportation while in camp, and field care for your animal.

Our Illinois deer hunts for 2012 begin on Monday morning and end on Friday evening. We ask that our hunters for the week arrive the Sunday prior to their scheduled week after 12pm, then depart the Saturday after their hunt is finished prior to 12pm.

Hunting can be arranged on the evening of your arrival and the morning of your departure with an annual hunting license.  It is not guaranteed, additional fees can apply, and depends upon your arrival and departure time and if we can get you out in time for a hunt your first evening in camp and last morning in camp.  This makes an archery hunt 6 days.

Special weekend only hunting and other dates can be discussed personally with the owners of, and booking agents for Illinois Extreme Outfitters.

Please give us call or email us regarding your next trophy whitetail or turkey hunt.  You will not be disappointed.
